Our client, a leading management-side labor and employment law firm, is seeking an experienced Labor & Employment Associate Attorney to join its New York office. This opportunity is ideal for an attorney with substantial employment litigation experience who is looking to work on sophisticated matters for a diverse client base in a fast-paced, nationally recognized practice. The role offers meaningful responsibility, direct client interaction, and the chance to work alongside seasoned practitioners handling complex and high-stakes employment matters.
Candidate Profile
  • JD from a top-tier law school with an excellent academic record
  • Active Bar Admission in New York, in good standing
  • 5-7 years of substantive employment law experience, with a strong focus on wage and hour litigation and counseling,
  • Significant experience advising employers on compliance with federal, state and local wage and hour laws
  • Experience handling complex wage and hour matters, including class, collective and representative actions in federal and state courts
  • Experience defending and prosecuting breaches of restrictive covenants
  • Experience preparing and negotiating employment agreements, including executive compensation provisions, strongly preferred
  • Ability to leverage AI-driven and emerging technologies effectively to improve efficiency, enhance client service, and elevate the quality of legal work products.
  • Strong legal research, writing, and advocacy skills
  • Ability to manage matters independently while collaborating effectively within team-based environments

  • Handle a wide range of labor and employment litigation matters, from inception through resolution
  • Advise employers on complex workplace law issues, including employee relations, compliance, and risk management
  • Draft and negotiate employment agreements, restrictive covenants, and executive compensation provisions
  • Represent clients in disputes involving non-compete and non-solicitation agreements
  • Aptitude to apply AI driven and emerging technologies effectively to enhance efficiency, client service, and legal work product
  • Collaborate with colleagues to develop strategic, practical solutions tailored to client needs
