This role is ideal for individuals with hands-on construction experience who enjoy working outdoors and want to build a long-term career in the fiber and telecommunications industry. You’ll gain valuable skills, work with experienced crews, and have opportunities to grow into advanced roles in underground construction and network deployment.

What You’ll Do

  • Support the construction and installation of underground fiber networks serving residential and commercial customers
  • Assist with jobsite setup, preparation, and cleanup working as part of a collaborative team
  • Load, unload, and transport materials and equipment
  • Perform physical tasks such as digging, lifting, trenching, and material handling
  • Operate hand and power tools safely under supervision
  • Assist with hydro-vac operations for potholing and site cleanup
  • Safely operate pickup trucks or larger vehicles, including towing trailers
  • Help maintain equipment and ensure tools are job-ready
  • Follow all safety procedures and contribute to a safe, team-focused work environment
  • Work closely with crew members and supervisors to complete projects efficiently

Knowledge Skills and Abilities

  • Strong ability to perform physical labor in varying weather conditions (heat, cold, rain, snow)
  • Basic understanding of construction safety practices
  • Reliable, punctual, and team-oriented with a strong work ethic
  • Ability to lift up to 75 lbs and perform repetitive physical tasks
  • A valid driver's license, acceptable driving record, and the ability to maintain insurability under the company's auto policy are essential.
