SUMMARY: Join Waterstone Mortgages Lighthouse Group in a remote Processor role supporting a Loan Officer based in Alaska. While this is a fully remote position, the preferred candidate resides in Alaska (or can consistently work Alaska business hours) to provide timely support throughout the loan process. In this role, you'll own the loan setup phase once a borrower goes under contract, partnering closely with the Loan Officer and the team to organize files, issue disclosures, order third-party items, and review documentation for accuracy and compliance. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Responsible for loan setup, disclosures and all order outs.
  • Responsible for all borrower conditions and contact from receipt in processing to closing
  • Organize new file within 24 hours of receipt and verify that compliance documents were issued within proper time frame
  • Order any third party verifications needed; including, but not limited to, VOEs, VODs, Payoffs, Updated Homeowners Insurance, Subordination Agreements and Tax Transcripts.
  • Track all requested documents in Encompass.
  • Review documentation within 24 hours of receipt for discrepancies, omitted data, etc.
  • Immediately notify Loan Processor when any discrepancies are found in documentation. Loan Processor will be responsible for determining and acting on the necessary remedies.
  • Order Title Commitments and necessary endorsements
  • Assist the Loan Processors with obtaining post-closing conditions
  • Assist other Processors, Underwriters, and Closing department employees as needed.
  • Maintain strict confidentiality regarding customer accounts and other information.

ADDITIONAL DUTIES:
  • Completes any additional duties assigned by manager, supervisor or lead.
  • Maintains a focus on enhancing customer service skills and knowledge.
  • Complete regulatory and compliance training, as required.
  • Keep abreast of current state's mortgage lending laws.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE: High school diploma or general education degree (GED) along with 3+ years of mortgage loan processing experience.
COMPUTER SKILLS: Previous experience in Encompass LOS is required.
