Would you be a great Medical Laboratory Technician (MLT)?

To thrive as a Medical Laboratory Technician (MLT) at Southwest Health System, Inc., you will need a minimum of an Associate degree in Medical Laboratory Science, along with 1 year of preferred experience in the field. National certification from ASCP or AMT is essential, as well as a current BLS CPR certification to ensure the highest safety standards. Exceptional communication skills in English, both verbal and written, are critical for effective collaboration within our team and with patients. Proficiency in basic computer knowledge will be necessary for utilizing laboratory software and tools efficiently.

Knowledge and skills required for the position are:

MLT Regulatory/Educational Requirements:

  • Minimum of an Associate degree in Medical Laboratory Science.
  • 1-3 years Medical Laboratory Technician experience preferred.
  • National certification ASCP or AMT or eligible.
  • Current certification in BLS CPR.

Language Skills:

  • Able to communicate effectively in English
  • both verbally and in writing.
  • Additional languages preferred.
  • Excellent customer service skills.

Skills:

  • Basic computer knowledge.
  • Strong communication skills.
