SUMMARY

Ensure the microbiological safety and quality of the beverage products during the can filling process. Work in a laboratory or quality control department, collaborating with production and quality assurance teams to maintain and improve the overall product safety and quality.


ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Reviews production orders or schedules to ascertain product data such as types, quantities, and specifications of products and scheduled delivery dates to plan department operations.
  • Plans production operations, establishing priorities and sequences for manufacturing products.
  • Prepares operational schedules and coordinates manufacturing activities to ensure production and quality of products meets specifications.
  • Reviews production and operating reports and resolves operational, manufacturing, and maintenance problems to ensure minimum costs and prevent operational delays.
  • Inspects machines and equipment to ensure specific operational performance and optimum utilization.
  • Develops or revises standard operational and working practices and observes workers to ensure compliance with standards.
  • Directly manages all daily activities and long-term objectives of their department, in conjunction with managers across shifts or departments.
  • Provides proactive, efficient, and reliable supervision for assigned shift; ensures safety, quality, GMP compliance, work rules and collaborative efforts across the production line.
  • Monitors overall quality of the product by performing periodic inspections.
  • Initiates resolution of technical, unusual, or complex problems or issues.

Education:

Associate degree in Business, engineering, or related field with at least 3 - 5 years of experience in a supervisory role or equivalent combination of education and experience in food manufacturing.

Skills/ Knowledge:

Supports and creates effective teams, units, and environments. Impacts and promotes organizational strategy and vision. Creates linkages for employees on how they impact business strategy. Completes objectives through supervisors or managers or senior exempt specialists who have significant latitude.

Computer Skills:

The ability to work effectively in a Microsoft Windows environment (Word, Excel, Outlook, and internal software programs).
