Full & Partial Denture Technician | Dental Laboratory Technician
Job Purpose
The Dental Laboratory Full Technician is responsible for the complete fabrication and finishing of full and partial dentures and removable dental prosthetics. This hands-on role requires strong technical skills and attention to detail throughout the denture fabrication process, from setting teeth and waxing through processing, finishing, and final case completion.
The Full Dental Technician may also provide associate laboratory manager coverage when needed and is expected to support cross-training and efficient laboratory operations.
Essential Functions
  • Fabricate full and partial dentures from start to finish according to established laboratory procedures and quality standards.
  • Set denture teeth accurately to achieve proper fit, function, occlusion, and esthetics.
  • Perform denture waxing and other preparation procedures.
  • Bend and adapt orthodontic and dental laboratory wire as required for prosthetic cases.
  • Complete denture processing, finishing, and polishing.
  • Perform denture relines and repairs.
  • Fabricate occlusal rims and custom trays.
  • Inspect completed dental prosthetics for quality, accuracy, fit, function, and esthetics.
  • Periodically serve as Associate Lab Manager in the manager's absence.
  • Understand and follow OSHA requirements, dental laboratory safety procedures, and workplace protocols.
  • Willingly cross-train in all areas of the dental laboratory to support team productivity and case completion.
  • Collaborate effectively with other dental laboratory technicians to complete cases accurately and on schedule.
  • Perform other laboratory duties as assigned.

Educational Requirements
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.

Experience & Qualifications
  • Previous professional experience fabricating full and partial dentures from start to finish required.
  • Hands-on experience with denture fabrication, processing, finishing, repairs, and relines strongly preferred.
  • Same-day denture experience is a plus but not required.
  • Successful completion of a dental laboratory bench assessment is required.
