Job description

Cultivate Your Passion in the Laboratory: Join an Innovative Diagnostic Team in a Picturesque City
Overview
We're on the hunt for a Clinical Laboratory Technician who seamlessly merges curiosity with precision, someone devoted to enhancing patient outcomes one specimen at a time. In this full-time, firstshift position at a thriving community hospital in the scenic Madison area, you will play a crucial role in delivering pivotal diagnostic results. You'll collaborate with like-minded professionals, bolstered by a comprehensive benefits package crafted to promote both your career growth and personal wellness.
Description - Your Contribution
  • Conduct routine and advanced clinical laboratory tests-such as chemistry, hematology, immunology, and more-while adhering to established protocols.
  • Evaluate results for precision, troubleshoot discrepancies, and maintain and calibrate laboratory instruments to ensure top functionality.
  • Assist with sample collection and prepare specimens for testing as necessary.
  • Thoroughly document all procedures, mentor new team members or students, and actively support the maintenance of lab quality standards.
  • Foster a safe and clean work environment, while upholding regulatory and accreditation mandates.
Education
  • Bachelor's degree in Clinical or Medical Laboratory Science, or an equivalent allied health degree along with ASCP/AMT certification preparation.
Certifications
  • ASCP or AMT Board of Certification in Clinical Laboratory Science (CLS) required within one year of hiring.
  • Maintain current certification for the duration of employment.
Skills
  • Impressive communication and interpersonal skills necessary for effective teamwork in a healthcare setting.
  • Adept in exercising independent judgment and solving problems within a fast-paced environment.
  • Exceptional organizational skills with keen attention to detail, especially regarding quality control and documentation practices.
Benefits
  • Competitive salary based on your experience and qualifications.
  • Comprehensive benefits package: health, dental, vision, life, and disability insurance.
  • Generous paid time off beginning on day one, along with additional vacation and holiday benefits with experience.
  • Opportunities for continuing education and support for professional growth.
  • Robust rewards package focused on your overall wellness.

Making a Difference in Lives
In this position, your meticulous lab work underpins crucial decisions made by physicians and impacts patient care. One analysis might confirm an infection requiring targeted antibiotics, while another may detect a metabolic issue before it escalates. Your expertise provides the indispensable accuracy that healthcare professionals and patients depend on each day.
A Team Culture Built on Cooperation
This is not merely a job-it is a community. You will join a team that celebrates continuous growth. Regular lab meetings, skill refreshers, and initiatives for process enhancement cultivate a workplace where innovation is welcomed. You will be encouraged to join committees, propose improvements, and guide new team members.
Charming City at the Crossroads of Culture
Imagine a vibrant locale where picturesque lakes beckon: tree-lined avenues bordering tranquil water, bustling farmers' markets overflowing with fresh produce, and a rich blend of cultural festivals throughout the year. Quaint cafes serve as community hubs, fostering conversations from the weather to topical issues. Your day off could be spent kayaking on sun-kissed waters or reveling in a live music event beneath the stars. The local community is welcoming, with a light-hearted camaraderie that reflects in the healthcare teams dedicated to serving it.
Explore unique shops, scenic trails, community artistic performances, and activities catering to all interests-from birdwatching to athletic competitions. Commuting is a breeze, thanks to efficient transit connections, providing a balanced lifestyle compared to the hustle of larger cities. With reasonable housing expenses, your earnings stretch further for leisurely pursuits including rooftop gatherings, weekend adventures, and local sports events.
Building Impact, Nurturing Quality
In this community, lab staff members are recognized as more than mere technicians; they are pivotal contributors to public health. Witness the positive ripple effect: expedited diagnoses, safer treatment, and more satisfied patients equate to thriving healthcare environments. The many appreciative messages you'll receive serve as reminders of how your efforts lead to impactful patient care.
Now is Your Moment to Dive Deeper into Science
If you're looking for more than just a paycheck-if your passion is rooted in purpose, personal development, and a positive community impact-then this opportunity may be your next calling. Whether freshly certified or an experienced hand, you will find growth, support, and challenge in this role.
Ready to Embark on Your Next Adventure?
Step into a role where your keen laboratory skills meet a community rich in support and innovation-a place where each test result contributes to authentic tales of care. If you are excited to engage in a profession that rewards your accuracy, team spirit, and compassion, we are eager to meet you.
Apply today and participate in shaping a brighter future, where science not only saves lives but also connects authentically with the human experience.
