Position Summary: The Laborer II is responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and organization of the job site while supporting the efficient flow of materials and resources. This individual works independently under the direction of the Site Supervisor and provides guidance to Laborer I team members as needed. The Laborer II demonstrates intermediate carpentry skills, safe equipment operation, and a strong commitment to quality and safety standards.


Essential Responsibilities:

  • Maintain overall job site cleanliness and organization.
  • Operate power tools and hand tools safely and proficiently, including saws, hammers, drills, levels, and measuring tapes.
  • Assist with finished home punch lists and minor repairs.
  • Perform trash removal and debris management.
  • Safely operate machinery and equipment as required.
  • Supervise and direct Laborer I employees on job sites.
  • Maintain and track onsite inventory, deliveries, and material distribution.
  • Move and stage materials as directed to support construction progress.
  • Perform general site cleanup, including sweeping floors and building demolition.
  • Construct basic structures such as concrete forms, assist with framing, and install basic trim.
  • Apply intermediate carpentry skills as needed on site.
  • Follow instructions and work plans provided by the Site Supervisor and/or Carpenter.
  • Adhere to all company safety procedures and participate in maintaining a safe work environment.
  • Occasionally assist in verifying that unit finish selections are installed correctly.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

Education and Experience

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Minimum of 2–4 years of construction or related labor experience preferred.
  • Demonstrated ability to safely operate hand and power tools.
  • Experience assisting with basic carpentry and site preparation tasks.
  • Prior experience in residential construction strongly preferred.
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation required.
