Job description

Office Assistant

Company: Mid Cal Labor Solutions
Position: Office Assistant
Employment Type: Part-Time transitioning to Full-Time
Pay Rate: $19.00–$21.00 per hour (DOE/BOE)

Position Overview

Mid Cal Labor Solutions is seeking a reliable and organized Office Assistant. This position will begin as a part-time role through approximately January/February, will transition to full-time employment through May/June based on business needs.

During the part-time period, the selected candidate will have flexibility in creating their work schedule. Once the position transitions to full-time, the schedule will be Monday through Friday, 8-hour shifts.

Schedule

Part-Time (Now through January/February):

  • Flexible schedule
  • Option to work:
    • Three full days per week, or
    • Five half days per week

Full-Time (January/February through May/June):

  • Monday–Friday
  • 8-hour shifts

Responsibilities

  • Perform accounts payable and accounts receivable (AP/AR) duties
  • Process invoices accurately and efficiently
  • Manage a five-part paper flow system (office ticket, warehouse ticket, delivery slip, and related documentation)
  • Answer and direct calls on a multi-line phone system
  • Provide general administrative and office support
  • Maintain organized records and documentation

Qualifications

Required:

  • Previous office experience
  • Experience with Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable (AP/AR)
  • Invoicing experience
  • Experience working with a multi-line phone system
  • Ability to manage a five-part paper flow process
  • Valid driver's license
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Dependable with excellent communication skills
