Labor & Delivery Registered Nurse

Frederick, Maryland

Assignment Duration

This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule

4x12-hour night shifts (19:00 - 07:30) with rotating holidays and weekends.

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Labor & Delivery Registered Nurse to join our team, providing comprehensive obstetric care from 20 weeks gestation through 6 weeks postpartum. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Labor & Delivery nursing and experience in OB Triage.

Responsibilities
  • Provide care to obstetric patients during labor and the immediate postpartum period.
  • Utilize state-of-the-art equipment and modern technology in the Labor & Delivery unit.
  • Work collaboratively with interdisciplinary teams to ensure family-centered care.
  • Monitor fetal health and respond to potential complications.
Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure
  • Minimum 3 years of current Labor & Delivery RN experience required.
  • OB Triage experience is required.
  • Active Maryland RN license or Compact RN license in hand at the time of submission.
  • Active fetal monitoring certification required (C-EFM preferred; AWHONN Intermediate accepted but must obtain C-EFM for contract extensions exceeding one year).
  • Certification in ACLS, AWHONN Advanced, BLS, and NRP is mandatory.
  • Previous travel nursing experience is required.
