About the Role

Edwards Label is seeking a detail oriented Cost Analyst / Cost Reporting Specialist to support our manufacturing operations. This role focuses on collecting, organizing, and reporting cost data related to materials, labor, and production activity.

What You Will Do

  • Collect, organize, and maintain cost data related to labor, materials, scrap, overhead, and production activity
  • Assist with preparing daily, weekly, and monthly cost reports and summaries for management
  • Track actual job costs compared to estimated costs and help identify and flag variances
  • Maintain and update spreadsheets, dashboards, and cost tracking tools
  • Support monitoring of key performance metrics such as labor usage, material consumption, scrap, and production efficiency
  • Work closely with production, estimating, order engineering, and accounting teams to ensure data accuracy and consistency
  • Support pricing, quoting, and budgeting processes by organizing and providing cost data
  • Assist with tracking material pricing changes, supplier cost fluctuations, and component usage
  • Review cost-related data from production and other departments to confirm accuracy
  • Support month end cost activities by organizing, validating, and reconciling cost data
  • Assist in identifying trends, discrepancies, and areas for review within cost and production data
  • Support margin and profitability reporting by gathering and organizing data
  • Assist with basic variance analysis and help identify potential causes of cost differences
  • Support process improvement efforts by providing cost-related data and observations
Qualifications

What We Are Looking For

  • Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or related field preferred
  • 1 to 2 years of experience in accounting, data analysis, manufacturing, or similar field
  • Basic to intermediate Excel skills
  • Strong attention to detail and organization
  • Ability to follow processes and work with structured data
  • Interest in manufacturing, operations, or cost analysis

Nice to Have

  • Experience with ERP systems or data tracking tools
  • Exposure to reporting tools such as Power BI or Tableau
  • Experience in a manufacturing or production environment
