Job description

Responsible for carrying out particular functions in the Labeling Department under the direction of the Supervisor.  Fills in as a Leadperson, Labeling Machine Operator, Palletizer Operator, Depalletizer Operator, Label Puller, etc.

  1. Carries out orders of particular functions in the Labeling Department under the direction of the Supervisor.
  2. Fills in as a Leadperson, Labeling Machine Operator, Palletizer Operator, Depalletizer Operator, Label Puller, etc.
  3. Instructs and trains employees in related work area.
  4. Informs Supervisor immediately of any problems that may arise.
  5. Helps control quality and quantity of work performed by their group and works to maintain a continuous flow of production.
  6. Sets up and ensures that the proper codes are used for production in their area.
  7. Maintains line speeds and goals as set up by management.
  8. Completes the necessary paperwork needed within area of responsibility.
  9. Reports any mechanical and/or safety issues to Supervisor immediately.
  10. Responsible for physically lifting up to 100 pounds.
  11. Must be able to operate a walk-behind lift and a personal lift.
  12. Adheres to common safety practices and procedures including the wearing of protective equipment and clothing.
  13. Adheres to the Company’s plant hygiene standards to ensure high product integrity.
  14. Keeps work area clean in accordance with good housekeeping practices.
  15. Responsible for the execution of food safety, legality and quality policies and procedures within the scope of the job responsibilities such as but not limited to:  GMP’s, HACCP, safety, product quality, food security, plant security, etc.
  16. Performs other duties as assigned by the Supervisor or Leadperson.
