Shop Helper 

Location: Houston, TX
Job Type: Full-Time


Job Summary:

We are currently seeking a dependable and motivated Shop Helper to join our manufacturing team. This position supports daily production operations by assisting machine operators, welders, and fabricators while maintaining a clean, safe, and organized work environment. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals looking to build a career in metal fabrication and manufacturing.


Responsibilities:

  • Assist machine operators, welders, and fabricators with daily production tasks.
  • Load, unload, and move raw materials and finished products throughout the shop.
  • Operate hand tools, power tools, grinders, and other basic shop equipment safely.
  • Deburr, grind, sand, and clean fabricated metal parts.
  • Help prepare materials for cutting, forming, welding, and assembly.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area by sweeping, removing scrap materials, and organizing tools.
  • Assist with packaging, labeling, and preparing completed orders for shipment.
  • Follow all company safety policies and quality standards.
  • Perform other shop duties as assigned by supervisors.


Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or GED preferred.
  • Previous manufacturing, warehouse, fabrication, or shop experience is a plus but not required.
  • Ability to safely use basic hand and power tools.
  • Ability to read a tape measure is preferred.
  • Strong work ethic, reliability, and willingness to learn.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Forklift experience is a plus.
