Job description

Description

The Slitter Machine Operator is responsible for packaging, labeling, and unloading finished goods in accordance with customer specifications. 


Pay:

  • $18.10 per hour
  • $2/hr shift differential for 3rd shift

Shift: 3rd shift - 11:45 pm - 8:00 am

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED Equivalent
  • At least 1 year of experience in a manufacturing or warehouse environment

What You Will Do:

  • Assist in threading up of slitter
  • Perform slitter hoist inspection.
  • Operation of Corematic.
  • Monitor slitter.
  • Operates corematic.
  • Collaborate with Slitter Operator II to ensure quality of packaging and labeling for finished product.
  • Loading unit rolls and removal of mandrels. 
  • Selecting and setting up appropriate header sizes. 
  • Operation of vertical wrapper and associated equipment.
  • Handling and packaging of finished slit rolls (manual and/or automatic).
  • Off load finished goods from the line and stage in the warehouse. 
  • Perform daily cleanings. 
  • Communicate with off-going and on-coming Slitter Operators to ensure proper hand-offs. 
  • Assist and help manage production down day activities. 
  • Operates manufacturing equipment within specified limits of the appropriate Standard Operating Conditions.
  • Participate in training new team members.
  • Assist other team members as needed
  • All other duties assigned. 

Physical Requirements: 

  • Regularly lift up to 25 lbs, occasionally up to 50 lbs 
  • Stand and walk for extended periods 
  • Work in a non-climate-controlled manufacturing environment 
  • Work around varying temperatures 
  • Specific vision abilities include close, distance, color, and peripheral vision as well as depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
