Job description

Job Title: Labeling Machine Operator - 2nd shift Location: Eatontown, NJ Type: Contract-to-Hire Hourly Payrate: $23.50 per hour Work Model: Onsite (100%) Hours: Monday - Friday, 2:00 PM - 10:30 PM Labeling Machine Operator (2nd shift) Responsibilities:
  • This role is with a credit card manufacturing company - a highly secure facility. This person helps with operating machinery used to print labels and prepare mail.
  • Operates production machinery designed to create electronic tags / labels. Accuracy and attention to details.
  • Performs test runs and preforms QC checks to help ensure order accuracy.
  • Transports finished credit cards from from production floor area to warehouse and completes proper chain of custody paperwork anytime credit cards are moved from one room to another.
  • Works heavily with MS Excel spreadsheets, PDF files and label printer. Must be capable of working with and using MS Excel 50% of the day.
  • Facility has capability to produce 250 different types of credit card mailings each day with up to 500 cards per order (high speed automation machinery). Typically 25,000 credit cards per day are manufactured at this site. Very rarely does an error occur (much less than .1% error rate).
  • Learns how to identify errors, concerns or problems with data integrity and resolves issues before printing labels.
  • Preforms "test run" in virtual system to ensure accuracy prior to "live run".
  • Works extensively with machinery throughout course of shift. Running Label Printer is a small portion of responsibility (data integrity)
Labeling Machine Operator (2nd shift) Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent is required. Post high school education or vocational / technical training is highly desired but not required.
  • Must have strong computer skills (comfortable entering data into MS Excel spreadsheets) Training on using MS Excel is limited and it is expected this person knows how to enter data into spreadsheets.
  • Must be able to work in a Federally regulated work environment (banking)
  • At leas two (2) years experience working in any other type of production environment or office setting with “mailing” or “shipping” responsibilities, or related similarly related manufacturing environment
  • Must be a highly organized person to be successful in this role and possess attention to detail, able to accurately preform quality inspection of product and stand for up to eight (8) hours
  • Strong computer skills. Should comfortable, at all times, on computer and be able to call up existing templates and programs on label printer, make small adjustments as needed to other printing equipment
  • Must have legible handwriting and be able to write neatly and concisely.
  • Must be able to preform basic data entry and ensure accuracy
  • Must be able to stand for prolonged periods of time, lift up to 50lbs, bend, stoop, carry material, etc.
