DWS Printing & Packaging is seeking a full-time Finishing Machine Operator to join the team in Deer Park, New York. Reporting directly to the Finishing Supervisor, the successful candidate will be responsible for converting post-press products into finished, customer-ready labels and ensuring the highest quality work is delivered to our customers.The ideal candidate is mechanically inclined, detail-oriented, dependable, and eager to learn.

Job Description: The candidate will:


  • Operate finishing machines to convert post-press product into finished product by following job ticket instructions.


  • Set up machines to cut, slit, and rewind labels to specific customer requirements.


  • Perform and document quality checks throughout each run to ensure compliance with company standards and customer specifications.


  • Retrieve cores, boxes, and other supplies and materials needed for the machine and daily operation.


  • Inspect equipment for defects and perform routine maintenance duties as necessary.


  • Read and follow written job tickets and work instructions, and comprehend verbal direction from the Finishing Supervisor.


  • Maintain a clean and organized workspace.


  • Safely and efficiently perform all essential job functions in accordance with company policies and operating procedures.


  • Assist with other production department tasks as required.


  • Meet all attendance and performance expectations.

Requirements: The candidate must:


  • Demonstrate mechanical aptitude and a willingness to learn new processes


  • Be detail-oriented and capable of following standard work instructions.


  • Be able to work in a fast-paced environment.


  • Be capable of working both independently and collaboratively with a team.


  • Be able to read, write, and speak English to interpret job tickets, follow written work instructions and safety procedures, and communicate effectively with team members and supervisors.
