Summary:

The Machine Operator is responsible for operating, monitoring, and maintaining production equipment to ensure efficient operations and the production of high-quality products. This role supports food safety and quality standards while meeting production goals.

Schedule: Monday-Thursday 7am-5:30pm

Responsibilities:

  • Set up and operate production equipment according to specifications and production requirements.
  • Monitor product quality and equipment performance, including fill temperature, closure integrity, net weight, and label accuracy.
  • Adhere to all food safety and quality standards, including HACCP, Allergen Control Program, GMPs, product specifications, and established QA procedures.
  • Ensure processes, work-in-progress, raw materials, and finished goods meet defined quality standards.
  • Support and contribute to continuous quality improvement initiatives.
  • Follow all company policies and procedures while ensuring customer requirements are met.
  • Perform required checks and accurately document Critical Control Points (CCPs) in accordance with the HACCP plan.
  • Record downtime events and production issues using appropriate documentation systems.
  • Perform light maintenance and preventive maintenance (PM) on equipment, including changeovers, minor repairs, greasing, lubrication, and fluid level checks.
  • Maintain a clean and safe work environment in compliance with safety standards.

Experience, Skills, Education:

  • Previous Machine Operating experience in a manufacturing facility, or similar relevant experience.

  • Understanding of production and plant processes

  • Analytical and numerical skills: ability to perform mathematical calculations (add, subtract, multiply, divide) in different units of measurements.

  • Ability to follow written and oral instructions.

  • Ability to lift heavy equipment, to bend, and to stand or walk for long periods of time.

  • Willingness to work overtime if necessary

  • Strong and efficient work ethic, detail-oriented
