The Opportunity
This role is responsible for setting up and operating cutting equipment to meet customer specifications while ensuring high-quality output and efficient production flow. The position plays a key role in preparing materials for downstream processes, maintaining equipment, and supporting overall product quality in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities
  • Locate flat stock and perform make-readies for production runs.
  • Set up and operate cutting equipment according to job specifications.
  • Interpret job tickets and apply customer requirements to production setup.
  • Adhere to SOPs, work instructions, and quality standards.
  • Perform quality inspections throughout the production process.
  • Program machine controls to meet job specifications.
  • Operate paper joggers and lifters; stack materials in proper sequence.
  • Perform knife changes, adjustments, and required machine maintenance.
  • Troubleshoot mechanical issues and support equipment reliability.
  • Maintain proper documentation and communication with operators, press teams, and leadership.
  • Perform weekly and monthly preventative maintenance.
  • Assist with preparation of shippers, trays, and labels as needed.
  • Support cross-training efforts and assist in other areas as required.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement, problem-solving, and quality investigations.
  • Follow all safety procedures and maintain a clean, organized work area.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

  • 2-3 years of related experience in a manufacturing environment preferred.
