Duties: Inspects incoming freight/packages for defects and/or damage and notifies supervisor/manager in a timely and proactive manner; records defects/damage accurately. Responsible for verifying all details of incoming materials by recording shortages and discrepancies on the freight receiver and packing list, alerting supervision regarding any issues. Communicates with the internal and external stakeholders to ensure on-time deliveries, while maintaining and controlling shipping and receiving records. Responsible for tagging, staging and palletizing raw material as it is received from outside vendors. Compares information on packing slip with receivers to verify accuracy of shipment. Accurately identifies, labels and organizes products to be received and/or transferred. Records all required activities in the system for recordkeeping and filing purposes. Accountable for loading and unloading of trucks and material handling within the receiving department. Performs staging and palletizing of raw material (FSC & Non-FSC) in the appropriate area. Assists with conducting physical inventories. Performs inventory control reporting activities such as cycle and full physical counts for the facilities; identifies and reconciles stock inventory discrepancies. Checks items to be shipped against job tickets/ pull tickets to determine accuracy and completeness of destinations and routing. Prepares shipping documents including Bill of Lading, Packing List, etc. using supplied templates. Reviews truck/trailer contents vs shipment documents for accuracy. Utilizes Process Shipper, UPS WorldShip, and FedEx Ship Manager, to post shipping charges and tracking information in MIS. Traces lost shipments and customer claims of lost shipments; initiates proof of delivery documents. Accurately identifies, labels and organizes products to be shipped and/or transferred. Reviews shipment documentation for accuracy. Coordinates outbound freight, including rate quotes. Records all required activities in the system for recordkeeping and filing purposes. Accountable for loading and unloading of trucks and material handling within the receiving department. Operates company provided equipment in loading and/or unloading of raw materials and/or finished goods. Assists with conducting physical inventories. Performs inventory control reporting activities such as cycle and full physical counts for the facilities; identifies and reconciles stock inventory discrepancies.
Skills: Push, pull, lift or carry up to as much as 60 pounds occasionally, and up to 25 pounds frequently. Must be able to stand for long periods of time in accordance with the required schedule shift. Ability to read and understand all signage, and documents associated with job functions. Observes established safe working and housekeeping procedures; promptly corrects hazardous situations. Follows all company policies, security protocols & procedures, standard operating procedures, work instructions, and ISO requirements. Performs other related duties as assigned for the purpose of ensuring the efficient and effective functioning of the work unit. May be required to perform duties outside of their normal responsibilities from time to time, as needed.
Education: Requires a High School diploma or equivalent. Typically required a minimum of 1 year of relevant warehouse experience. Effective proficiency in using the intranet, email, Excel, Word, and management information systems (MIS). Effective customer service and interpersonal skills, detailed oriented, organizational, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.. Requires basic computer experience as well as operating standard office equipment. Ability to communicate clearly, orally and in writing. Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. Ability to read or understand information related to work activities. Must be able to perform simple mathematical calculations – addition, subtraction, multiplication, division.

Pay Details: $19.00 to $20.00 per hour
