What is a label sales professional?

Label sales refer to the process of selling labels, which can include product labels, shipping labels, or branded stickers, to businesses and individuals. Professionals in label sales typically work for manufacturers or distributors and are responsible for identifying client needs, providing product recommendations, and negotiating pricing. They may also assist with custom orders, manage client accounts, and ensure timely delivery. Effective label salespeople have strong communication and customer service skills, as well as knowledge of printing processes and materials.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as a label sales professional?

To thrive as a Label Sales professional, you need strong sales acumen, industry knowledge of labeling products, and often a background in business or marketing. Familiarity with CRM software, order management systems, and sometimes technical printing processes is typically required. Outstanding interpersonal skills, negotiation abilities, and a proactive approach help build lasting client relationships and drive new business. These skills are vital for consistently meeting sales targets and ensuring client satisfaction in a competitive market.

How does a label sales professional typically collaborate with the production and design teams to meet client needs?

Label Sales professionals work closely with production and design teams to ensure that client requirements—such as material specifications, branding elements, and delivery timelines—are met accurately and efficiently. They act as a bridge between clients and internal teams, communicating client expectations, providing feedback, and coordinating adjustments throughout the sales and production process. This collaboration helps to deliver customized label solutions that meet both quality standards and client branding goals, enhancing customer satisfaction and fostering repeat business.

Job description

Job Title: Sales Associate: Custom Clothier
Location: LABEL: Beverly Hills, Los Angeles
Reports to: Sales Manager

LABEL is looking for hunters. Build your own book of business selling custom menswear to executives and entrepreneurs, with a clear path from Associate to Director and earnings that grow as fast as you do. Top reps earn $100K+. You’ll represent an established 14-year company featured in Forbes, Harper’s Bazaar, Inc., Entrepreneur, Fast Company, and People. This is a consultative sales career, not a retail job.

Why you’ll want this role:

  • Real earning power. 16-22% uncapped commission. Year one typically ranges $45-60K, year two $60-85K, and tenured reps earn $100K+.
  • Two tracks, promoted on performance, not tenure: a producer track (Associate → Sales Executive → Senior Sales Executive) and a leadership track (Associate → Sales Manager → Sales Director → Senior Sales Director).
  • A book you own. The clients and relationships you build are yours to grow.
  • Real backing. Paid training and certification, the credibility of an established national brand, and a sister tailoring company, Alts, that delivers every order flawlessly.

What you’ll do:

  • Hunt and build your pipeline. Proactively source your own clients through outreach, referrals, and your network. This is a hunter role: you create the pipeline, with full training and brand support behind you.
  • Run consultative appointments. Meet professionals in our SoHo showroom, at their office, or wherever’s convenient, and guide them through a custom wardrobe experience.
  • Grow long-term clients. Turn first orders into repeat business through genuine follow-up and sharp CRM discipline.
  • Deliver flawlessly. Submit accurate orders and lean on our sister company, Alts, whose master tailors average 20+ years of experience, so every garment fits perfectly.

Who you are:

  • A hunter. You’re driven to find your own clients, chase the deal, and close. You’d rather build your own book than wait for leads, and beating a number gets you going.
  • Accountable, you own your results and operate like the business is yours, because your book is.
  • Polished and detail-oriented, in how you present and how you work.
  • A natural with people, you build trust quickly and keep it.
  • Coachable, you want to grow and you act on feedback.

What we’re looking for:

  • Recent graduates with internship experience are encouraged to apply.
    • 1-2 years in sales, client-facing, or relationship-driven work is a plus but not required.
  • A track record of hitting goals, in sales, school, athletics, or anything you’ve committed to.
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.

Compensation and Benefits:

  • Paid training period at $3,500/month while you learn the craft and earn your certification.
  • After certification: 16-22% uncapped progressive commission, with ramp support that steps down as your commissions grow to replace it.
  • Health, dental, and vision insurance, 401(k), 50% employee discount, clothing allowance on certification, and a company MacBook.

Why LABEL:

An established 14-year custom clothing brand with the energy of a company still scaling fast, featured in Forbes, Harper’s Bazaar, Inc., Entrepreneur, Fast Company, and People. We invest heavily in training, promote from within, and give you the brand and infrastructure to build a real career. If you want to grow as fast as the brand, this is the place.
