Job description

Label Slitter/Rewinder Operator:

The Label Slitter/Rewinder Operator is responsible for the slitting/rewinding and inspection of finished product being sent to Finished Goods.

Responsibilities:

· Perform quality checks prior to production and monitor print quality during production.

· Isolate, as required, product that does not meet Company and Customer standards.

· Ensure product is produced according to Customer specifications, requirements and meets both Customer and Company standards for quality.

· Communicate daily with management on matters which could impact quality, cost, or safety.

· Assist in preventive maintenance, as required, on a consistent basis.

· Monitor and maintain an inventory of top and bottom knives and spacers. Notify the Supervisor as parts need repair/replacement.

· Adheres to the rolling flagging policy

· Maintains a safe and clean working environment

· 2nd Shift 3:30 pm – 12am

Qualifications:

· 1+ Years experience operating a label slitter/rewinder

· 1+ Years experience in label printing quality control

· Must be able to work 2nd shift 3:30 pm – Midnight

· Ability to identify errors, imperfections, die cutting issues with finished labels

· Dedication to quality

· Ability to communicate constructive concerns in a positive and effective manner.

· Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form

· Ability to lift up to a maximum of 50 pounds

· Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations, understand, and accurately write basic numbers.

· Ability to read and understand a ruler for regular measurements.
