Pay Rate Range: $30.00 - $33.00/hr. (DOE)
Employment Type: Contract (Estimated 12 Weeks, Potential Extension)
Schedule: 30 Hours Per Week | Night Shift (9:00 PM - 5:00 AM)
Location: Phoenix, AZ 85353 (100% Onsite)
Tekberry is seeking an experienced MES Support Specialist to provide overnight Manufacturing Execution System (MES) support within a fast-paced solar manufacturing environment. This role is critical to maintaining uninterrupted production operations by troubleshooting MES-related issues, supporting production personnel, and partnering with Operations, Quality, Engineering, and IT teams to resolve system concerns.

Position Summary
The MES Support - Nights position provides overnight support for the Manufacturing Execution System (MES) within a high-volume solar manufacturing facility. This role is responsible for helping keep production lines operational by responding to MES-related issues, supporting operators and production personnel, troubleshooting system concerns, and escalating more complex issues when necessary.
The ideal candidate has experience working in a manufacturing or production environment and enjoys providing hands-on technical support to ensure uninterrupted manufacturing operations.
Key Responsibilities
Manufacturing Execution System (MES) Support
  • Provide overnight support for MES-related issues occurring on the production floor.
  • Respond to system interruptions affecting manufacturing operations and assist in restoring normal production.
  • Troubleshoot MES-related issues, including:
    • Transaction failures
    • Equipment connectivity concerns
    • Label printing issues
    • User access problems
  • Support production operators with MES questions and system navigation.
  • Monitor MES activity and identify issues that could impact production output.
  • Escalate complex issues to appropriate support teams and assist in tracking issue resolution.

Production Support
  • Assist with manufacturing line startups and production changeovers.
  • Support production operations by ensuring MES-related issues are addressed quickly to minimize downtime.
  • Collaborate with Operations, Quality, Engineering, and IT teams to resolve manufacturing system concerns.
  • Adapt to changing production priorities and support operational needs during off-shift hours.

Documentation & Communication
  • Document incidents, troubleshooting activities, and actions taken during the shift.
  • Maintain accurate records related to MES support activities.
  • Provide clear handoff communication to incoming shifts regarding unresolved issues or ongoing concerns.
  • Report system issues and trends that may impact production performance.

Safety & Compliance
  • Follow all site safety, quality, and environmental procedures.
  • Maintain compliance with established manufacturing standards and operating procedures.
  • Promote a safe and organized work environment.

Qualifications
Required Qualifications
  • Associate Degree required (Candidates with a High School Diploma may be considered if they possess strong MES experience and relevant technical qualifications).
  • Experience working in a manufacturing, production, technical support, or MES environment.
  • Basic troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Comfortable working independently during overnight shifts.
  • Proficiency with computers, software applications, and basic system tools.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Preferred Qualifications
  • 3-4 years of experience supporting MES systems within a manufacturing environment.
  • Experience supporting shop floor systems or manufacturing production lines.
  • Familiarity with MES platforms such as:
    • Rockwell FPTC
    • Camstar
    • Siemens Opcenter
  • Basic SQL or database knowledge (highly desirable but not required).
  • Familiarity with manufacturing equipment and PLC environments.
  • Experience within solar, semiconductor, highly automated, or advanced manufacturing environments.

Work Environment
  • Fast-paced solar manufacturing facility supporting 24/7 production operations.
  • Frequent interaction with production operators, engineers, quality teams, and IT personnel.
  • Primarily overnight support responsibilities.
  • Fast-paced environment requiring strong prioritization and independent decision-making.
  • May require extended periods of standing and walking throughout the manufacturing floor.
