Position Summary
The Packaging Specialist is responsible for accurately packaging, labeling, and preparing materials for shipment or storage while maintaining inventory accuracy and following company quality and safety standards.
Duties and Responsibilities
  • Package, label, and prepare materials for shipment or inventory using weighing, measuring, and counting methods.
  • Verify part numbers, quantities, and labels to ensure accuracy.
  • Perform inspection, tagging, banding, boxing, and cleaning of materials in accordance with ISO procedures.
  • Operate forklifts and material handling equipment safely to move and store materials.
  • Complete required documentation, including work orders, job tracking, and inventory records.
  • Maintain accurate inventory through proper handling of paperwork and inventory tags.
  • Conduct routine inspections of material handling equipment and report maintenance needs.
  • Monitor packaging materials and supplies to ensure adequate inventory levels.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
  • Follow all company policies, procedures, and safety standards.

Education and Experience Required:
  • High school diploma or GED
  • Minimum 3 years of warehouse experience

Preferred Education, Experience, and Skills:
  • Forklift certification
  • Experience with inventory control and packaging processes
  • Ability to read a tape measure and perform basic math
  • Basic computer skills
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy
