Job description

Your next role as a Miracle Maker 

Maravai LifeSciences is seeking a #MiracleMaker to join our Manufacturing team as a Manufacturing Associate II. As a Manufacturing Associate II (Wet Lab), you will be responsible for formulating and testing products for DNA synthesis. This position requires a chemistry background, preferably a BS degree in Chemistry or relevant experience.  This position requires experience with wet-bench chemistry, HPLC, spectrophotometers as well as general chemistry techniques.

How you will make an impact: 

  • Manage raw materials and supplies for the lab
  • Manage reanalysis of products and raw materials in a timely manner
  • Lead department when Lab Manager is not present and coordinate with outside departments 
  • Prepare catalog products using manufacturing instructions, procedures and protocols
  • Associated tasks include packaging, labeling, and storing of product; maintaining inventory of catalog products and raw materials
  • Conduct preventative maintenance
  • Prepare equipment and glassware; general inventory and organization of supplies
  • Assist with general shipping and receiving of hazmat products and materials
  • Maintain proper storage, handling, and disposal of organic solvents, hazardous chemicals, and waste is essential
  • Provide proper documentation and accountability of tasks performed 
  • Maintain an organized work environment
  • Conduct general laboratory duties and other work as assigned
  • Assist with customer order fulfilment including preparing shipping documentation will be a priority. Receiving and processing incoming materials from vendors and suppliers is a key function
  • Perform other functions and duties as required 

 The skills and experience that you will bring: 

  • BS in Chemistry or related science
  • 2 years of previous laboratory experience
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Knowledge and experience in safely handling organic solvents and laboratory chemicals
  • Ability to follow direction and work in a fast-paced work environment
  • Experience with databases, ERP, and document control systems
