The Role

We are seeking a detail-oriented Lab Technician to join our laboratory team. Reporting to the Laboratory Operations Manager, this role is responsible for supporting the end-to-end processing of customer samples, including laboratory preparation, microbial and DNA-based analysis, and data entry.


The Lab Technician plays a key role in ensuring accurate, timely, and compliant sample processing while maintaining laboratory operations, equipment, and inventory. This position requires strong organizational skills, hands-on laboratory experience, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, regulated environment while supporting both internal teams and customer needs.

Requirements

Where You Make a Difference

Perform end-to-end sample processing, including microbial culture, DNA extraction, PCR, sequencing, and data entry

Manage sample workflows to meet turnaround times and customer expectations

Prepare reagents, media, and laboratory supplies; maintain clean and organized lab spaces

Maintain laboratory equipment, including routine cleaning, basic troubleshooting, and documentation

Monitor inventory, receive materials, and communicate supply needs

Ensure compliance with safety protocols and proper handling of chemical and biohazardous materials

Follow quality system procedures and support regulatory compliance (cGMP, ISO 17025, USDA as applicable)

Assist with SOP updates, audits, and continuous process improvements

Communicate with customers on sample status and support timely report delivery

Collaborate with laboratory staff to support efficient daily operations


What You Bring

Bachelor's degree in a life science field with 1-3 years of laboratory experience

Hands-on experience with microbiology and molecular biology techniques (e.g., DNA extraction, PCR, sequencing)

Familiarity with regulated lab environments (cGMP, GLP, ISO 17025 preferred)

Strong attention to detail and organizational skills

Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment

Effective communication skills and a customer-focused mindset

Basic troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities
