Job Summary

Micron is seeking a motivated Technician to support Surface Lab operations by managing sample flow, coordinatinglogistics, andmaintaininglab readiness in support of materials characterization and engineering activities. This role requires strong attention to detail, the ability to follow established procedures, and effective coordination with engineering, operations, and customer teams to ensure efficient andaccurateexecution of lab processes.

The ideal candidate is comfortable working in a fast-paced laboratory environment, proficient with basic computer tools for tracking and documentation, and capable of supporting multiple priorities with minimal supervision. Success in this role depends on clear communication, strong organizational and time management skills, and a commitment to safety, quality, and teamwork while enabling technical teams to deliver high-quality data and insights.

Responsibilities

  • Receive, log, track, and route customer samples to ensureaccurateandtimelyprocessing

  • Perform sample preparation, packaging, and transfers between lab areas and tools

  • Coordinate samplelogisticsand provide status updates to internal customers and engineering teams

  • Maintain laboratory readiness, including housekeeping, organization, and compliance checks

  • Manage chemicals, consumables, and lab supplies, including inventory tracking and restocking

  • Support vendor field service activities, including scheduling, escorting, andlogisticscoordination

  • Perform documentation, data entry, and recordkeeping in laboratory tracking systems

  • Follow all safety procedures, chemical hygiene practices, SOPs, and information security requirements

MinimumRequirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent

  • Available to work Monday-Friday daytime shifts, with flexibility to accommodate evenings, nights, weekends, and overtime as needed.

  • Ability to wear required PPE as needed

Preferred Requirements:

  • AAS or AS degree in Mechatronics, Science, Physics, Mathematics, Supply Chain Management, or equivalent experience through trade school or military training

  • 2+ years of experience in manufacturing, laboratory, or technical environments (or equivalent military experience)

  • Experience working with data, documentation systems, or structured problem-solving methods
