Medical Technologist

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Medical Technologist to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for performing a variety of technical tasks and procedures in the Blood Bank, Chemistry, Hematology, and Microbiology departments.

Key Responsibilities:

Blood Bank:

  • Perform crossmatching techniques.
  • Apply problem-solving skills and judgment in dealing with antibody challenges.
  • Understand the indications for transfusion and ensure proper action before releasing products that do not meet criteria.
  • Demonstrate knowledge of Quality Systems for good blood bank practices.

Chemistry and Hematology:

  • Operate and maintain laboratory instrumentation.
  • Apply knowledge of Quality Control processes.
  • Maintain competency and assist the Core Lab Supervisor with additional tasks.

Microbiology:

  • Conduct routine collection, inoculation, and processing of all specimen types.
  • Prepare and promptly interpret stains and smears according to departmental procedures.
