Job description

Responsible for the quality of Cardiac Cath Lab Studies. Operates all cath lab equipment and imaging processing equipment. Performs all cath lab duties such as scrub assistant, circulating, and operation of equipment. Contributes to the general operation of the area by picking up supplies, stocking supplies, and keeping the work area orderly. This is an addendum to the Radiologic Technologist Job Description.
Educational Requirements:

  • High School Graduate
  • Two years of training in a School of Radiologic Technology in a certificate program or a degree in a college
  • Must be registered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technology and Licensed by the LA State Board of Radiologic Technology
Experience Requirements:
  • Knowledge of sterile technique, fluoroscopy safety, and vascular anatomy
  • CPR Certified
