Job Description

Physician Assistant - Surgical Department - Rhode Island

We are looking for a highly motivated individual to assist the surgical patients from pre-operative through the post-operative period. The Surgical Physician Assistant (PA) performs duties to assist the Department of Surgery in the inpatient, outpatient and operating room setting, as well as in emergency situations, adhering to standard practices and established procedures of the health system. Duties include conducting history and physical exams, developing and monitoring of patient treatment plans, ordering and interpreting lab tests, and procedures.

Participates in and enhances the surgical care provided by the surgical team during the pre-operative phase of patient assessments, through teamwork.  Assists intra-operatively, with technical skills and knowledge to provide positive outcomes
