Overview
As a Network Delivery Intern, you'll support Brightstar Lottery's technology organization by working alongside experienced network engineers on real-world enterprise infrastructure. This internship offers hands-on exposure to the systems that power secure, reliable lottery operations across a global environment.
 
As an intern, you will learn through guided, practical experience—participating in network configuration, documentation, and deployment activities while building foundational skills in enterprise networking, automation, and collaboration within a professional technology team.
What You'll Do
  • Assist Network Delivery team members with the configuration, monitoring, and troubleshooting of network devices such as routers, switches, and firewalls
  • Support hardware installation activities, including rack-and-stack and cabling under supervision
  • Help maintain accurate network diagrams, inventories, and technical documentation
  • Participate in software and firmware upgrades following established procedures
  • Observe and assist with network automation and scripting efforts using tools such as Ansible and Python
  • Collaborate with team members to learn troubleshooting approaches and best practices for enterprise networks
  • Perform other duties as assigned
What You'll Bring
  • Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Network Engineering, Cyber Security, or a related field
  • Foundational understanding of networking concepts, including TCP/IP, IP subnetting, LAN/WAN, and basic network security
  • Familiarity with networking platforms such as Cisco or Fortinet through coursework or labs
  • Basic exposure to scripting or automation concepts
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to communicate clearly in a team environment
  • Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English is required

At Brightstar, we consider a wide range of factors in determining compensation, including background, skills, experience, and work location. These factors can cause your compensation to vary. The estimated starting compensation range for this role is $24.50 per hour. The actual pay offered may be higher or lower. The Company complies with all local pay requirements and collective bargaining agreements, where applicable.

Base pay is one part of our Total Rewards program. Non-exempt roles are eligible for irregular discretionary bonuses. In addition, we offer employees a 401(k) Savings Plan with Company contributions, health, dental, and vision insurance, life, accident, and disability insurance, tuition reimbursement, paid time off, wellness programs, and identity theft insurance. Note: programs are subject to eligibility requirements.
