Job description

Summary
Performs patient/specimen identification, collects blood and non-blood and performs specialized procedures specific to the age of the patient; performs computer functions to support laboratory, Hospital, reference lab and registration systems. Processes reference testing and handles internal and external customer communications regarding reference testing.
Minimum Qualifications
  1. High school graduate or equivalent.
  2. Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  3. Completion of an approved phlebotomy training and 1 year of clinical laboratory experience.

Preferred Qualifications
  1. Completion of a Medical Assistant Program
  2. 3 year of clinical laboratory experience.
  3. Proficient with Sunquest laboratory information system.
