Highlights:
Summary: The Medical Laboratory Scientist shall provide timely and courteous service to patients, physicians, and hospital staff by performing laboratory analyses accurately and efficiently. This individual shall detect unusual conditions and assume responsibility for problem solving. This position may have additional duties assigned that are within scope of the role.
Education / Experience:Bachelors degree from an accredited college in a chemical, physical, biological, or clinical/medical laboratory science. Clinical laboratory training culminating in national certification as defined by American Society of Clinical Pathologists (ASCP) Board of Registry
License / Certification: ASCP Medical Technologist (MT), ASCP Medical Lab Scientist (MLS), ASCP Microbiology, or equivalent certification required
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
• Ability to work from broad directions and be self motivated.
• Ability to prioritize workload to achieve maximum efficiency.
• Ability to effectively communicate with people of various backgrounds throughout the organization.
• Ability to provide a positive customer service experience to guest, visitors, and patients.
