Job Title: Part-Time Lab Courier / Driver

Reports to: Supervisor, Department Manager, or Client Service Manager

Job Summary:ย The Part-Time Lab Courier / Driver is responsible for the timely and safe delivery of bottle kits to clients and the pickup of environmental samples for laboratory analysis. This role ensures proper handling and documentation of samples during transport to maintain sample integrity. When courier duties are not required, the individual may assist in the laboratory as a Technician I, supporting basic lab functions.

Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Deliver sample collection kits and supplies to clients in a timely and professional manner.
  • Pick up environmental samples from client locations and ensure proper chain-of-custody documentation.
  • Maintain sample integrity by following proper handling, storage, and transport procedures.
  • Communicate effectively with clients and internal staff regarding delivery schedules and sample issues.
  • Perform vehicle inspections and routine maintenance checks to ensure safe operation.
  • Assist with basic laboratory tasks when not performing courier duties, including but not limited to: Sample receiving and logging, Bottle preparation and labeling, General lab housekeeping and support
  • Follow all safety protocols and company policies during transport and lab work.
  • Maintain accurate records of deliveries, pickups, mileage, and vehicle maintenance.

Pay rate: $16/hour

Required Skills/Abilities:

  • Valid driverโ€™s license with a clean driving record.
  • Strong time management and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work independently and follow detailed instructions.
  • Good communication and customer service skills.
  • Basic understanding of sample handling and environmental testing procedures (preferred).
