Job description
Lubricant Testing Lab Aide
Pay Rate $18.00/hr Location: 540 White Plains Road, Tarrytown NJ
Someone with lab experience would be preferred. Familiar with lab safety protocol. Ability to work in a team environment. Ability to follow Standard Operating Procedures. Capable of moving and handling large containers of oil and related fluids (preferred). Ability to interact frequently with a variety of functions, such as scientists, building maintenance, shipping/receiving personnel, safety personnel. Good organizational and time-management skills. Must be comfortable using Excel, Outlook, Word, basic MicroSoft suite programs.
Responsibilities
- Wash laboratory glassware and distribute to various lab personnel
- Maintain chemical inventory
- Maintain supply of solvents and materials needed by scientists
- Maintain inventory of basic laboratory supplies, such as paper towels, gloves, pipettes, soap, etc...
- Manage the waste disposal of chemicals used within the group
- Management of fleet test samples and test results
- Assist with shipping and receiving of test samples
- Administration of quality documentation
- Work with all lab personnel to maintain an organized and safe lab environment
- Follow all safety regulations and participate in safety inspections and monthly safety meetings.
Comments/Special Instructions
Flexible on time for each day but would require 4 hours per day. Operating hours of the building are 8am - 4pm.
