Job Description Step into a hands-on lab role where your attention to detail and commitment to safety directly support high-quality testing and reliable results. This is a great opportunity to build on your laboratory skills in a fast-paced, 24/7 operation with a clear rotating schedule and structured procedures. About the Role: As a Lab Technician, you will support daily laboratory operations by preparing samples, running tests, and ensuring data integrity in line with strict safety and quality standards.

You will work 12-hour shifts on a rotating pattern (7 days on/3 days off, then 7 nights on/4 days off), contributing to continuous lab coverage. Your work will help maintain consistent, accurate results that underpin critical operational decisions. Key Responsibilities: Collect, label, and prepare samples according to established protocols and chain-of-custody requirements.

Operate laboratory instruments and equipment to perform routine and specialized tests. Calibrate, verify, and perform routine maintenance on lab instruments to ensure accurate performance. Follow and enforce laboratory safety procedures, including proper use of PPE and adherence to OSHA standards.

Document test results accurately in logs, databases, and reports, maintaining traceable records. Perform quality control checks, including running standards and controls, and troubleshoot basic issues. Maintain a clean, organized, and compliant laboratory environment, including proper storage and disposal of materials.

Communicate test findings and any anomalies promptly to supervisors or relevant stakeholders. Key Requirements: Proven skills in laboratory safety practices and OSHA compliance. Hands-on experience in sample collection, handling, and preparation.

Proficiency in operating common laboratory equipment and instruments. Demonstrated ability to perform instrument calibration and routine maintenance. Experience following quality control and quality assurance procedures.

Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and documentation. Ability to work 12-hour rotating shifts, including days, nights, weekends, and holidays. Solid communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team-based environment.

Desirable Skills: Previous laboratory experience in an industrial, environmental, or materials testing setting. Experience with cementing-related testing or materials is a plus. Familiarity with LIMS or other electronic data management systems.

Experience working under ISO or similar quality management systems. Qualifications: High school diploma or GED required. Associate's degree in Laboratory Science, Chemistry, Biology, or related field preferred.
