JOB SUMMARY

Provide Support to the Quality Control Laboratory to ensure samples are promptly and accurately processed through the Quality Control Laboratory.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Perform laboratory tests on samples by following standard test methods, SOPs and cGLPs and cGMPs. Laboratory tests include but are not limited to preparing samples for microbiology testing, running samples, analyzing and recording data performing daily quality checks, maintenance, and troubleshooting.
  • Building laboratory associated databases.
  • Watch inventory of laboratory consumables, reagents, and assist in preparing/ordering them when needed.
  • Maintain laboratory equipment, instruments and tools and be aware of the calibration needs of the equipment.
  • Fill out laboratory paperwork and help keep laboratory paperwork organized. Keep laboratory clean and neat at all times.
  • Must be proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel.
  • Assist the QC Manager and Laboratory Technicians when needed.
  • Other duties as assigned by the Laboratory Manager.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor of Science degree in microbiology or other related science field
  • 1-year related laboratory work experience or related education.

SKILLS & ABILITIES

  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as laboratory procedure manuals, safety rules, operating maintenance instructions.
  • Ability to write detailed technical work instructions and reports.
  • Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as proportions, percentages, and volume. Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
