About the role
The QC Microbiology Technician supports the laboratory team by assisting with daily microbiology and quality control activities. This role is responsible for maintaining laboratory supplies, ensuring cleanliness and organization of the lab, and completing accurate, compliant documentation in line with GMP standards. The technician also performs routine sample collection from GMP production areas to support testing. This position plays a key role in ensuring efficient lab operations and reliable quality results.
This position follows a Monday through Thursday schedule, with 10-hour workdays beginning no later than 9:00 AM. This role sits on-site at our Salt Lake City plant.
This role is not currently offering VISA sponsorship or relcoation assistance.
Your responsibilities
  • Support daily microbiology and quality control activities within the laboratory.
  • Manage laboratory supplies, including inventory monitoring and restocking as needed.
  • Maintain cleanliness, organization, and overall housekeeping of the laboratory environment.
  • Perform accurate and compliant documentation in line with GMP and laboratory quality systems.
  • Collect routine samples from GMP production areas to support microbiological testing.

The experience we're looking for
  • Minimum of 1 year of microbiology experience, preferably in a manufacturing or regulated environment (education may be considered in lieu of experience).
  • Associate degree in a science-related field preferred.
  • Familiarity with microbiological testing in production or laboratory settings.
  • Understanding of Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and Good Laboratory Practices (GLP).
  • Demonstrates a strong quality mindset with attention to detail and commitment to accurate, compliant work in a regulated environment.

The base salary range for this role will vary based on experience in job and industry, training and education, skills relevant to the position, and other factors permitted by law.
