Job description

Compensation Range:

$14.42 - $14.42

Position Summary:

Hiring Hourly Pay: $14.42

Job Summary:

Monitors and coordinates the activities of and provides support and
assistance to assigned chemistry laboratories to enable effective and safe lab
operations. This part-time position will not exceed 29 working hours per week. This
position requires flexibility in the work schedule from term to term to fulfill
the needs of the department.

Job Duties:

Key job responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Assists the full-time Lab staff with preparing all materials and equipment for lab exercises and

  • Maintains the organization, cleanliness and security of the chemistry stockroom, prep areas and adjoining labs.

Minimum Qualifications

Successful completion of 60 semester hours or AA/AS degree

Preferred Qualifications:

Successful completion of CHML 2211 and junior status at university majoring in chemistry

Good knowledge of basic chemistry lab procedures and safety protocols
