Job description

Our client, a life sciences services company, is seeking an Operations Support Specialist to provide onsite administrative and operational support within a large, well-established research environment in Boston. This is a full-time contract role (up to 6 months, with strong potential for extension or conversion) supporting scientists, engineers, and lab operations teams at a major life sciences campus. The position is onsite in Boston, MA, Monday-Friday, 35-40 hours per week between 8:00/8:30am-5:00pm, and pays $30/hour.

Job Responsibilities: Provide onsite operational and administrative support for scientific and medical equipment within laboratory environments Maintain and update equipment inventory and service records within a proprietary database/CMMS Coordinate and schedule maintenance, repairs, and service events with internal teams and external vendors Communicate directly with scientists, engineers, vendors, and lab operations staff to address equipment needs Enter lab spaces to review equipment status, calibration schedules, and performance concerns Order parts and supplies, track shipments, and coordinate installations and repairs Generate reports, support KPIs, and assist with ongoing account and service reviews Candidate Qualifications: Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience required Strong Excel skills (sorting, filtering, data review, and tracking) Experience with databases, inventory management, or operations support preferred Customer-focused mindset with excellent communication and organizational skills Comfortable working in office and laboratory settings and interacting with technical professionals Ability to manage multiple priorities, work independently, and maintain detailed documentation Beacon Hill is an equal opportunity employer and individuals with disabilities and/or protected veterans are encouraged to apply.
