Position Description (on-site role)

Labshares is seeking a self-motivated, energetic, and reliable associate to work alongside our lab management team. We are seeking a Lab Operations Associate. This role will require to come onsite Monday – Friday and will focus on lab operations, EHS safety and management, administrative and operational tasks. All necessary safety and regulation training will be provided. This position is critical to maintaining a clean, safe, and well-stocked facility for our members and team.

At Labshares, every team member is critical. You will get exposure to various aspects of working in a shared laboratory setting. You will be joining a dynamic and collaborative team who is committed to living out Labshares’ Core Values. *Note: This position will not involve conducting lab experiments.

Position Responsibilities

  • EHS (Environmental Health & Safety) Management – including but not limited to biowaste consolidation, safety shower/eye wash station tests, BSC and incubator sterilization, etc.
  • Assist with receiving, checking, and delivering incoming packages
  • Maintain cleanliness of office desks, lab benches, and shared lab equipment
  • Stock snacks and drinks in the common kitchens

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Prior experience in a laboratory or facilities role preferred, but not required
  • Must be comfortable working in a lab environment and around biological materials
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs
  • Willing to commute onsite and to various Labshares locations in the greater Boston area
  • Excellent communication skills and a proactive attitude·
