Full-Time | Rotating Shifts
The Lab Technician ensures raw materials, in-process product, and finished goods meet all company and customer quality specifications. This role follows established laboratory procedures, accurately records test results, and supports safe, compliant production through close coordination with operations and Quality Assurance.
Key Responsibilities
  • Sample and test raw, processed, and finished materials
  • Monitor production processes for compliance with Quality Assurance policies
  • Accurately record, calculate, and maintain laboratory data in spreadsheets and/or databases
  • Communicate test results and quality concerns to supervisors and production crews
  • Maintain chemical feeders and oversee proper addition rates
  • Work under standard operating procedures, strict safety rules, and quality specifications
  • Make quality-related recommendations to supervisory personnel and the QA Manager
  • Authority to stop production when product nonconformance is identified
  • Report safety, quality, environmental, and equipment concerns promptly
  • Participate in the Quality Management System by complying with the Quality Policy, Procedures, and Continual Improvement Process to reach the organization's Quality goals and objectives.
  • Achieve performance goals established during annual evaluations
  • Interact regularly with production team members
  • Other duties as assigned

Experience & Training
  • On-the-job training provided
  • 6 months to 1 year of laboratory experience (chemical or similar) preferred
  • Experience in API or ISO environments is a plus

Knowledge & Skills
  • Basic math proficiency
  • Understanding of laboratory procedures and recordkeeping
  • Basic computer and data entry skills
  • Clear written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong attention to detail with a focus on accuracy and deadlines
  • Self-starter able to work with minimal supervision

Physical & Work Environment Requirements
  • Respiratory Protection Program requirements apply
  • Rotating shift work required
  • Work performed in laboratory and production areas, with occasional trips to stockpile areas
  • Frequent standing, walking, bending, and sitting (8-12 hours per shift)
  • Frequent lifting up to 50 lbs.; occasional lifting up to 100 lbs.
  • Work around moving equipment; occasionally noisy and infrequently dusty environments
  • Must comply with all safety and PPE requirements
  • Reasonable accommodations are made to enable qualified individuals with disabilities to perform essential job functions, unless doing so would cause an undue hardship.
