Job Title: Part-Time Medical Assistant – Gynecology Practice

Job Summary

We are seeking a versatile, reliable, and compassionate Medical Assistant to join Lifecycles Gynecology, PC, a state-of-the-art, private gynecology practice in Livonia, MI. In our modern office, you will utilize advanced medical technologies and software to support the physician, streamline clinical workflows, and deliver premium, personalized care to our patients. This position is ideal for a tech-savvy medical assistant looking for a consistent, predictable daytime schedule in a beautiful, contemporary healthcare environment.

Job Details

  • Job Type: Part-time
  • Schedule: 20-21 hours per week
    • Days: Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday
    • Hours: 9:00 AM – 4:00 PM
  • Compensation: $20.00 per hour

Key Responsibilities

  • Patient Intake & Flow: Manage the daily patient flow; greet patients, escort them to rooms, take vitals, and handle intake documentation to ensure the physician stays on schedule.
  • Phone Communication & Triage: Answer incoming office calls with exceptional phone skills, managing patient calls while maintaining a polite, articulate, and professional demeanor.
  • Procedure Assistance: Prepare setups for gynecological exams and directly assist the provider during in-office procedures (e.g., Pap smears, GYN exams, IUD placements, endometrial biopsies, hysteroscopy, colposcopy and ultrasounds) using advanced clinic equipment.
  • Phlebotomy & Lab Work: Perform blood draws, prepare specimens and lab requisitions, and package specimens for courier pickup.
  • Sterilization & Safety: Autoclave and sterilize gynecological instruments, maintain clean exam rooms, and ensure strict adherence to high-standard infection control protocols.
  • Supply Logistics: Monitor clinical inventory; track stock, monitor expiration dates, and place orders for medical and office supplies.
  • Computer & EHR Ownership: Confidently navigate the cloud-based AdvancedMD EHR system to update records, log vitals, track lab results, and manage patient communications.
