Job description

About the role:

As a Lab Tech B you will perform routine laboratory testing and other assignments observing established and approved procedures

You will report to the Lab Manager and be located at Ogden, UT. You will support this role 100% onsite.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform routine laboratory operations in a quality assurance setting
  • Operate testing and analysis instruments in the laboratory
  • Develop knowledge of instruments operated
  • Follow all preventive maintenance programs.
  • Perform minor repairs on instruments and associated equipment
  • Recommend new or improved procedures and techniques and help develop them
  • Prepare and standardize solutions used in analytical procedures
  • Prepare and verify control standards to be used
  • Help train and assist other laboratory personnel in techniques and responsibilities
  • Provide communication for continuity of operations from shift to shift and process to process
  • Help with internal and external audits and customer surveillances
  • Assist Chemists and perform other tasks as assigned
Qualifications:
  • High school graduate or GED plus one year of technical school or experience
  • Fundamental knowledge of laboratory operations
  • Make calculations and read instruments such as micrometers and calipers
