Job description

Lab Technician
Responsibility:
Performance of lab technician duties in support of parts testing and tuning, ranging from basic prep work to medium-to-high technical difficulty components. The ideal candidate will have a solid foundation of hands-on lab experience with a particular emphasis on filter tuning. May assist senior technicians and serve in a team support capacity as assigned.
Compensation & Schedule:
$18.00 - $25.00 per hour, based on experience. Candidates with advanced tuning experience will be considered toward the higher end of the range. Full-time, Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM, with overtime available depending on workload as directed by the supervisor.
Specific Duties:
1. Read specs, blueprints, and computer printouts; test and tune parts arriving in the lab as assigned.
2. Responsible for proper use of all lab equipment, including learning the use of new equipment as received.
3. Test and tune parts ranging from basic to medium-to-high technical difficulty, with emphasis on filter tuning and production lot support.
4. Interface with Assembly as necessary for parts rework.
5. Provide times and parts tuned count to Lead Technician daily.
6. Interface with Lead Technician for troubleshooting support.
7. Assist junior technicians as required.
8. Prepare or revise loop (assembly and test) information and submit to Lead Technician for review.
9. Record data and sign travelers.
High school diploma required; prior lab or hands-on technical experience preferred.
Experience with filter tuning or RF/microwave component testing is a strong plus and may qualify the candidate for the higher end of the pay range.
Good English verbal and written communication skills; positive attitude and ability to work well within a team environment.
