What are some common challenges faced by lab technicians working with Drosophila (fruit flies) in a research laboratory?

Lab technicians working with Drosophila often encounter challenges such as maintaining large numbers of fly stocks, preventing contamination, and ensuring precise timing for experiments involving fly life cycles. Proper handling and sorting of flies require dexterity and attention to detail, as well as familiarity with specialized equipment like CO2 pads and dissecting microscopes. Collaboration with researchers and other technicians is essential to coordinate experiments and manage shared resources efficiently.
