Job Summary and Responsibilities

As a Lab Supervisor, you will be a pivotal leader, directly contributing to the development of annual departmental goals, objectives, and budget, while actively facilitating their achievement and ensuring ongoing evaluation of results for continuous improvement.

Essential Functions:

  • Supervises, coaches, and reviews the performance of laboratory personnel to ensure adherence to relevant policies and ethics
  • Oversees designated laboratory day-to-day operations and exercises authority over personnel decisions
  • Analyzes and interprets laboratory results in accordance with established laboratory work processes
  • Administers laboratory inventories such as supplies, equipment and consumables
  • Selection of test methodology that is appropriate for the clinical use of the test results
  • Verification of the test procedures performed and establishment of the laboratory's test performance characteristics, including the precision and accuracy of each test and test system

  • Doctor of Medicine: AZ (MD:AZ), upon hire or
  • Medical Laboratory Scientist - Med Technologist (MLS), upon hire or

St. Lukeโ€™s Health โ€“ Memorial San Augustine is an 18 bed critical access hospital. This 18-bed hospital is the area's only certified critical access hospital full accreditation by the Center for Medicare & Medicaid Services. Services include emergency care, MRI, CT, digital mammography and telemedicine for fast results. A fully accredited dialysis center, operated by Sankar Nephrology, is also located on campus.
