Work Schedule:
100% FTE, day shift working Monday - Friday with core hours between 8a - 5p. This is a hybrid position with in person work to be completed at 8501 Excelsior Dr. This person will be expected to come in on an as-needed basis, typically once per quarter. This will include on-call, weekend and holiday rotation.

We are seeking an Applications Analyst - Lab Systems to:
  • Be involved in cutting-edge support of current applications as well as all new implementations that impact various clinical departments at UW Health.
  • Looking for a flexible person who is open to new challenges as the wants/needs of the organization and department change.
  • Work with Blood Bank, Point of Care and HLA software in addition to Epic.
  • Technical server setup for applications and vulnerability management
  • Qualified candidates would be comfortable discussing and offering IS advice to staff with varying technical knowledge in varying clinical departments, and work hand in hand with other IS analysts involved in systems support in the department.
  • Candidates must have excellent communication skills in sharing information with users within the department, as well as within our team
  • Experience writing technical documentation or with project management would be a plus.

Education
  • Associate's Degree in Healthcare, Information Technology, Business, Health Administration, Engineering, or related field Required
  • Two (2) years of relevant experience and education may be considered in lieu of degree Required
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Healthcare, Information Technology, Business, Health Administration, Engineering, or related field Preferred

Work Experience
  • Demonstrated success in design, development, configuration, support, and adoption of small to medium to scale solutions Required
  • Demonstrated success applying critical thinking to identify problems and opportunities Required
  • Demonstrated success teaching and mentoring Required
  • Demonstrated success using, configuring, developing, or supporting the applications, tools, and platforms relevant to the position Preferred
  • Three (3) to five (5) years progressively responsible experience in an IS applications field Preferred
  • Demonstrated success working on or leading initiatives that use agile methods Preferred
  • Experience in information services or technology, direct clinical care, health care operations, or health care administration Preferred
  • Healthcare subject matter expertise including at least two (2) years of experience in a health system, academic medical center, or health payer organization Preferred
  • Experience supporting systems and/or operations in a 24x7 healthcare setting Preferred
