This position contributes essential expertise to the certification of candidate gas standards, in compliance with established specifications. Conducts analysis for specialty gases and finished product testing; collaborates on scheduling of all products to be analyzed, proper storage, labeling and shipping.

  • Leads and conducts analyses of gases using analytical instrumentation.

  • Conducts production testing and quality control analysis of specialty gas mixtures and pure gases.

  • Maintains accuracy of label control sheets and release labels.

  • Develops, refines, and verifies validation of test methods.

  • Fosters quality compliance with standard operating procedure manual requirements.

  • Reviews production records and releases products for distribution.

  • Prepares gas analysis certification reports for customer distribution.

  • Coordinates with the supervisor concerning delivery schedules, product complaints and special product requests.

  • Partners with the management team with regard to maintenance of health and safety and ISO quality programs.

Required Qualifications

  • Postsecondary courses in chemistry or related science and/or combination of college level courses in science or math OR 1 year of experience in laboratory analysis in an industrial environment.

  • Ability to read and comprehend Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS).
