Job Title
On-Call Diagnostic Medical Sonography Lab Technician
Job Summary
The On-Call Diagnostic Medical Sonography (DMS) Lab Technician will be responsible for the maintenance of laboratories outside the functions of Information Services activities. This includes working with faculty and the administrative assistant to order and stock supplies for laboratories and setting up laboratories for class and for special events. Additionally, the On-Call DMS Lab Technician will assist faculty with laboratory instruction.

Job Duties
The On-Call Diagnostic Medical Sonography (DMS) Lab Technician will perform the following job duties:
  • Prepare lab for planned student activities.
  • Assist Instructor with any needs before, during and after class.
  • Clean up lab after student activities are complete.
  • Maintain appropriate inventory of supplies for specialty area of the lab.
  • Adhere to FERPA policy regarding student confidentiality.
  • Must comply with OSHA guidelines.
  • Performs other duties as assigned by the Program Director.

Required Qualifications
  1. Associate degree.
  2. Ability to secure the Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (RDMS) Certification within one year from hire date.
  3. Ability to maintain and work in an imaging lab.
  4. Ability to communicate effectively by computer, orally, or in writing.

Preferred Qualifications
  1. Bachelor Degree.
  2. Two (2) years of relevant experience.
