A Day in the LifeWe are seeking a reliable, detail-oriented Technician III to support the processing of returned, explanted medical devices. This role is an essential part of a larger lifecycle to meet quality system regulations regarding product performance in the field and ensure patient safety. The key responsibilities of this role include receiving devices, cleaning biohazard product, documenting information received, and communicating complaint information to other internal functions. In this role, you must be comfortable is a biohazard space, cleaning products that were previously implanted, and with the risk of possible bloodborne pathogen exposure. This is a biosafety level II lab and all necessary precautions are taken, including wearing PPE and working in a dedicated biohazard space (scrub in/scrub out, cannot eat or drink at desk). This lab operates as a day to day operational processing workflow, meaning large volumes must be reliably completed by the team each day. As a result, it can be a little high pressure and high stress, but the work just needs focus and dedication to get done. This role will require less than 10% of travel to enhance collaboration and ensure successful completion of projects.

Responsibilities may include the following and other duties may be assigned:

  • Perform a variety of technical procedures such as preparing routine solutions and reagents and performing routine reactions
  • Make and record observations; perform simple calculations; and collect and prepare data for evaluation
  • Conduct laboratory support functions such as stocking and distributing supplies and equipment; arranging and dismantling apparatus; and collecting, washing, and storing glassware
  • Perform technical and record keeping duties in conformance with company and regulatory policies and standards to meet quality and accuracy requirements
  • May analyze compounds and manage corporate compound collection
  • Perform technical procedures in one or more of the following areas: Production, Research and Development, Quality Control/Assurance, and/or Compliance/Environmental

Requirements:

  • Requires 3+ years of relevant technical experience, which may include a combination of practical experience and applicable training, education, or certification

For Baccalaureate degrees earned outside of the United States, a degree that satisfies the requirements of 8 C.F.R. 214.2(h)(4)(iii)(A) is required.
