Job Description
Teach Surgical Technology and related courses. Other duties include, but are not limited to, classroom management, teaching laboratory sessions, and Clinical Instruction.
  • Work directly in the clinical or lab setting to guide and teach students, evaluate students' performance and provide feedback.
  • Effective organizational skills, particularly as they relate to the teaching-learning process.
  • Demonstrated experience in student learning and teaching excellence.
  • An understanding of the community college philosophy and the community college student.
  • Experience with alternative learning delivery methods and systems.
  • Commitment to cultural diversity among students, faculty, and in the curriculum.
  • Experience in delivering computer-enhanced laboratory simulations.
  • Computer experience in common software and Internet.
  • Successful teaching experience.

Required Qualifications
  • Credential in the field of surgical technology through a national certification program that is accredited by the National Commission on Certifying Agencies (NCCA).
  • Associate degree in Surgical Technology or related field - Preferred
