JOB SUMMARY

The QC Lab Technician position requires a general knowledge of science, including some basic chemical analyses. The position will conduct QC tests on raw materials and manufactured products as requested. The position will evaluate product blending and packaging operations to ensure compliance with standards and GMPs. This position will also from time-to-time assist the Laboratory Manager and Director of Technical Services in making qualitative and quantitative analyses of manufactured products, organizing and cleaning the lab, and performing testing on field samples.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

  • Ensure manufactured goods are filled, packaged, and labelled appropriately
  • Provide all basic QC analytical functions for raw materials and finished goods
  • Prepare test solutions, compounds, or reagents for laboratory personnel to conduct tests
  • Work quickly and efficiently and stay on task
  • Provide technical assistance for manufacturing processes which require laboratory attention
  • Maintain cleanliness of laboratory and assist with records, samples, and equipment maintenance
  • Assist manufacturing personnel in controlling the release of effluent associated with the manufacturing processes
  • Prepare test solutions, compounds, or reagents for chemical laboratory personnel to conduct tests
  • Complete additional projects as assigned

POSITION REQUIREMENTS

Required:Basic knowledge of science, especially chemistry, with understanding of scientific principles and techniques and ability to work well on a team

Preferred:Any variety of lab experience

EDUCATION:

Preferred:Associates degree with concentrations in laboratory techniques or commensurate work experience or Bachelor's degree

EXPERIENCE:

Required:0-2 years of experience in industrial chemical laboratory.

Preferred:2+ years of experience in industrial chemical laboratory.

Pay: $20.00 - $24.00 per hour
