Job description

Monroe Health Center is seeking a versatile and compassionate Radiologic Technologist / Laboratory Assistant to join our clinical team at the Craig County Health Center in New Castle, VA. This dual-role position supports both diagnostic imaging and laboratory services, ensuring efficient, accurate, and patient-focused care. The ideal candidate is adaptable, detail-oriented, and passionate about serving a diverse patient population in a rural setting.


Radiologic Technologist Duties:

  • Perform high-quality diagnostic imaging procedures (e.g., X-rays) in accordance with provider orders and established protocols
  • Ensure patient safety, comfort, and proper positioning during imaging procedures
  • Maintain and operate radiologic equipment, ensuring compliance with safety and regulatory standards
  • Accurately document procedures and maintain patient imaging records
  • Collaborate with providers to ensure timely and accurate diagnostic results

Laboratory Assistant Duties:

  • Perform specimen collection, including venipuncture and capillary draws
  • Process, label, and prepare specimens for in-house testing or external lab transport
  • Conduct basic waived/moderate complexity lab tests as permitted
  • Maintain lab equipment, supplies, and cleanliness according to regulatory standards
  • Ensure proper documentation and timely reporting of lab results

Qualifications:

  • Associate’s degree or higher in Radiologic Technology (or equivalent accredited program)
  • Current ARRT certification 
  • State licensure as required
  • Phlebotomy experience
  • Basic laboratory experience or training preferred
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to multitask and adapt in a dynamic rural healthcare setting
  • Commitment to providing culturally competent, patient-centered care

Schedule:

  • Full-time, 40 hours per week -  No Weekends
