Job Title: Associate, Materials Process Engineer (Chemistry Lab)

Job Code: 42542

Job Location: Orange, VA

Job Schedule: 3/12: Employees work 12 hour days, Friday, Saturday and Sunday

Job Description:

The potential candidate under minimal supervision and following established policies and procedures will conduct a variety of tasks supporting the analytical laboratory.  They will also set up and conduct tests following experimental procedures in accordance with specification requirements under environmentally controlled conditions.  They must be able to design, conduct experiments, and be able to produce consistent and repeatable results.  Assistance in data reduction and report generation is also required.

Essential Functions:

        Apply knowledge of analytical chemistry applications. 

        Apply knowledge of DSC, TGA, HPLC, ICP, GC, UV-VIS, FTIR instrumentation

        Ability to follow ASTM's, Military Specifications, and Weapons Specifications.

        Ability to obtain US security clearance

Qualifications:

        Bachelor's Degree with 0 to 2 years of prior related experience. In lieu of a degree, minimum of 4 years of prior related experience. 

Preferred Additional Skills:

        Bachelor's Degree in Chemistry preferred.

        Proficient use of Microsoft Office tools; Excel, PowerPoint.

In compliance with pay transparency requirements, the salary range for this role in Virginia is $59,000 - $110,000. This is not a guarantee of compensation or salary, as final offer amount may vary based on factors including but not limited to experience and geographic location.
